Vic: Garbage collector attacked
Victoria Police say a garbage collector's in hospital after being seriously assaulted
in central Melbourne.
They say the 35-year-old man left his garbage truck to collect large bins from a lane
way off Flinders Lane .. when he assaulted by two men .. last night.
Police say he was set upon at the rear of the Rendezvous Hotel .. and was punched in
the head and hit with something similar to a baseball bat.
The victim's suffered serious injuries to his head .. arm and leg and is recovering in hospital.
